This February would have been Bob Marley's 67th birthday. The Jamaican musician has had a huge impact on the world; his political and soulful songs touched many people and highlighted issues in his homeland.

Reggae music is known for its slow and relaxed style which you might find makes perfect background music for when you are taking it easy at home, playing partypoker or when you have a few friends over for dinner. In honour of this legendary songwriter, we have created a quiz for you to enjoy.

Question 1 - Where was Bob Marley born and what was he also known as?

Answer - Robert Nesta Marley was born in Jamaica in a village called Nine Mile. The singer was also known as Tuff Gong.

Question 2 - What was so special about his compilation album 'Legend'?

Answer - This compilation album was released three years after Marley's death. It became the best-selling reggae album which went ten times Platinum, selling 25 million copies across the world.

Question 3 - What was the name of Bob Marley's first band?

Answer - When Bob Marley met Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso, and Cherry Smith in 1963, they got together and formed a group called 'The Teenagers'. However, their band name changed several times over the years. Firstly, it changed to "The Wailing Rudeboys", then to "The Wailing Wailers". At this point, the band was spotted by Chris Blackwell (the founder of Island Records). The group then changed their name again to "The Wailers". However, three years later, Braithwaite, Kelso and Smith quit the band which left only Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh. They were then known as Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Answer - The reggae remix called, "Sun Is Shining" was a huge success. It reached number 3 in the UK, number 3 in Canada and number 1 in the States.
